Leadership Award

Congratulations to Dr. Patty Opresko on her recent honor of receiving the Merrill J Egorin Excellence in Scientific Leadership Award! This award honors a faculty member who exemplifies scientific passion and scholastic dedication. It is given to scientists who exhibit the hallmarks of outstanding mentorship, exceptional scientific contribution, and tireless leadership. Dr. Opresko’s leadership in the Genome Stability Group and other UPMC Hallman Cancer Center committees, as well as her role as a star mentor to our lab members, helped drive her towards this recognition.
