GSP Mini Symposium

The annual Genome Stability Program mini symposium saw a great representation from the Opresko lab. Samantha Sanford and Sanjana Thosar were chosen for fifteen minute Trainee Talks. Sam presented on how chemotherapeutic thiopurines inhibit telomerase elongation of telomeres, and Sanjana on how telomeric 8-oxoG driven replication stress regulates ALT. Ryan Barnes was also chosen to present during the seven minute Trainee Flash Talks, and he presented on how ATR prevents mitotic catastrophe caused by telomeric 8-oxoG replication stress.
