EMGS: ICEM 2022
The Opresko lab had a large representation last week at the 13th International Conference on Environmental Mutagens. On Saturday, Patty’s talk “BER Processing of Oxidative Lesions in Telomeres” was presented at the Samuel H Wilson Memorial satellite meeting: DNA Damage & Repair. Sanjana Thosar presented “Investigating the role of telomeric oxidative base damage in the regulation of ALT and the antitumor immune response” in Sunday’s SIG meeting, co-chaired by Ryan Barnes. Mariarosaria De Rosa co-chaired and gave a talk, “The processing of 8-oxoguanine at telomeres promotes cellular senescence” in Monday’s Advances in DNA Repair session. Ryan co-chaired the Polynucleotide Signatures and Regulation of Genotoxin Stress Response session on Tuesday.
Congratulations to Ryan and Mariarosaria for both receiving a New Investigator Travel Award!
