Green Lab Award

In an effort to combat climate change, Pitt has developed a Green Lab sustainability effort to bring more awareness to the sometimes very wasteful business of research. As biologists, we understand the importance of maintaining our clean air and water, and want to do our part both at home and at work. This year, we participated in the Pitt Green Lab survey to gain more awareness and to explore other options for waste generated in the lab. We have been designated as a Seed lab, but hope to climb the ladder to a Sustainable Oak.
